Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into Him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love. (Ephesians 4:15-16)
What You Can Expect
- Retreats, etc…: We go to Exposure Youth Camp, Southern Evangelism Conference, Maywood Christian Camp, Backwoods Christian Camp, and our own yearly Family Retreat, Spring Retreat, and Fall Retreat.
- Bible Study: Expect to be challenged in class. Our curriculum is built to aid our teens as they grow closer to Christ. You can see some of our Bible class material here.
- GROW: We meet twice a month at 5:45 on Wednesday nights for GROW. At these meetings we either work on a service project, study the Bible, or we just meet up for dinner. For more info on GROW, click here.
- Monthly Devos: Once a month we meet after Sunday night worship for a teen devotional. Parents & other volunteers from the congregation usually host these devotionals in their homes or here at the church.
A Note to Parents
Biblical youth ministry does not happen without parent involvement. Parents are called upon to be the primary spiritual mentors in every teen’s life (Psalm 78:1-8; Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Ephesians 6:4). Parents are encouraged and invited to participate in every activity that we undertake! We need your help and support to make this ministry reach its potential. We have a great opportunity to help our teenagers grow and to spread God’s love to our community, please help us take on this task. Also, we provide weekly devotional guides for you to use with your teens. You can find out about those here.
If you are interested in volunteering to help, get in touch with our youth minister Andrew Kingsley by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or by phone at (205) 699-2447. You can also sign up online with Connect.
