Meeting Times

We have weekly Bible studies every Sunday morning at 9:00 am, and on Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm. Apart from that, we meet all the time to do anything from hang out (such as at Ladies/Guys Night Out), serve (such as on mission trips and service projects), or worship (such as monthly devos). The Ashville Road Youth Group is a place that doesn’t care about your color, social status, or past. The ARYG is a place to belong, to be with great people, and to spend time with the brothers and sisters in Christ that we will spend eternity with in heaven.

FAQ

Q: Who’s in charge around here?
A: Jesus, naturally.  But a lot of times, the youth minister Neil Hillis (me) likes to take the group places.  You can email me at neil.hillis@arcoc.com.

Q: When are you leaving for insert youth trip here?
A: Times and dates generally change for every trip, but it would be safe to assume the either the twitter feed or the Facebook fan page (both given on this page) have the necessary information for whatever trip is coming up.

Q: Does my child need to bring anything?
A: If we are talking about Bible study, all they have to do is bring themselves (and a Bible if they can).  If we are talking about a trip, then they will need whatever the event on Facebook says they will need (also works for Twitter, too).

Q: Is there any paperwork that I may need to sign?
A: Usually we try to steer from setting up red tape to come to a simple Bible study or devotional.  But if there is any trip that will be outside of the Birmingham metro area, then Ashville Road provides a medical release form in case of emergency.  There is a link to said form below.

Q: What if I have a really good idea for a future event, or I see an opportunity for a service project?
A: By all means, let me know.  I do not claim to have all the answers, but I’d love to try to find them!  Regardless, the youth group is a team effort.  If you have an idea, email me at neil.hillis@arcoc.com.
